Xulu impresses, awaits offer

Siyanda Xulu awaiting FC Rostov offer

Posted: 26 July 2012 Time: 11:22 am

Russian side FC Rostov are preparing to table on offer for Mamelodi Sundowns defender Siyanda Xulu following his impressive trial stint with the club.

Xulu is due back in South Africa today after a week abroad and will resume pre-season training with his Sundowns team-mates.

Sources close to the player inform KickOff.com that the young defender left a lasting impression at the club, who will now table an offer to The Brazilians.

However, Sundowns spokesperson Kabelo Mosito says the club will only comment after receiving an official bid for the defender.

“We are happy that he did well during trials in Russia,” Mosito tells KickOff.com. “We are informed that the Russians were very impressed by his abilities. Let’s see how things progress.

“He will return to South Africa today and will rejoin the rest of the team which is training. There is not much we can say regarding a possible move so we are just waiting.”

Xulu’s agent, Paul Mitchell of Sivuma Sports Agency, believes Xulu has done enough to play for a European club.

Xulu will go to Russia and his career will die in Russia. No South African who ever went to Russia moved on to a bigger league in western europe. Russia is the worst career move this young man will ever make. Marlon

Transfer Talk

Posted on 26 July 2012 - 11:58

Orlandopiratesfc.com can confirm that six players from the first team have been placed on the transfer list. The list was finalised following a Technical Team meeting earlier in the week.

The players on transfer are:

• Dikgang Mabalane
• Lizo Mjempu
• Talatou Boubacar
• Njabulo Ntusi
• Chiukepo Msowoya
• Njabulo Manqana

Furthermore, the technical team has agreed to release a list of players who are available for loan.

• Hlabane Kutumela
• Patrick Ngidi
• Patrick Mashele
• Benjamin Nthete
• Aubrey Ngoma
• Thabo Rakhale

Meanwhile, Orlandopiratesfc.com can also confirm that defender Lucas Thwala will not be part of the 2012/13 squad. The club has decided against exercising its option to renew the player’s contract and have subsequently spoken to Thwala this morning.

Lucas Thwala has been a loyal servant of Orlando Pirates for many years and the club would like to wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

Looking at all these players, they can all make the first team at Zebras.

Signdogs should also do the same with their unwanted players.

He is such an excellent player. When he first came thru proff ranks , he reminded me of OJ.
He read the game well , and age is on his side. Pitty moegoes in BB ignore him.
