Chinyama will cost Bucs R1.2m

Dynamos want R1.2million from Orlando Pirates for striker Takesure Chinyama

Posted: 25 July 2012 Time: 10:21 am

Dynamos have demanded $150 000 (about R1.2million) from Orlando Pirates for the signature of striker Takesure Chinyama, according to media reports from Zimbabwe.

But the Buccaneers, who have already agreed personal terms with the forward, are negotiating for a reduced transfer fee of around $90 000 (around R768 000).

"Initially, Dynamos wanted $150 000 but reduced the figure to $120 000. The Orlando Pirates representative insisted it was still too high," reports the News Day. "It is unlikely that Chinyama will be sold for less than $90 000."

Pirates have offered Chinyama, who scored a goal on Sunday for Dynamos in a League match against Highlanders, a three-year contract with the option of a further two-year extension.

If he moves to the Soweto-based side, he will reportedly earn around R100 000 a month.

Yesterday Soccerladuma reported and quoted people by names on this issue:

The Siya crew can reveal that Zimbabwean international striker, Takesure Chinyama, is on his way to South Africa to conclude a deal with Orlando Pirates!

According to Dynamos FC’s general secretary, Raymond Kazembe, the two teams have already agreed on terms, this after the club had distanced themselves from the proposed move two weeks ago.

“Yes there have been some developments since the last time we spoke, as Screamer Tshabalala was here last week, on behalf of Orlando Pirates. The two teams have agreed on terms for the services of the player, although there are only a few minor issues still to be ironed out. We can safely say Takesure’s move is as good as done! It is 95% complete!” assured the general secretary.

The 29-year-old striker played his last game for Dynamos on Sunday against Highlanders FC.

“He scored one of the quickest goals we’ve seen, in the second minute of the game. It was a cracker of a goal! He did it for the supporters and it was such an emotional send off for him because our supporters love him. The stadium was packed to capacity and he was given a standing ovation after the final whistle, as he thanked the supporters.

“As the club, we’re very happy for him because he’s really played his part and we wish him all the best at Pirates,” added Kazembe.

According to the Dynamos official, Chinyama’s departure was supposed to be made official at a press conference on Monday but, because of other commitments, it was unable to take place. However, he concluded, “The player is on his was to join Pirates and should start training with them soon.”

Pirates doesnt just buy for the sake of buying and good business practice guides that you dont just buy something from the shelves or showroom without first negotiating the price. We are not in business to just purchase everything with the advertised price tag without engaging and negotiating the price. Its wlling seller and willing buyer situation. We know the value of money and have good business strategist with business acumen when it comes to buying players unlike some teams who dont have bargaining startegies hence they are so dumb and average.

Does this mean that we are abandoning signing the guy we made a star?
I mean, Rantie did very well for us and it will be a shame to watch him go without a fight in my sight.
But I was told this Chinyama dude is also agressive in the mould of Khenyeza but he doesnt miss sitters like the former Zebra before he became a full time Chocker.

Doesnt make sense to me letting TK go for an older guy.

No sound financial management in this Gorilla team. Can they publish their audited financial statements so that their academically challenged supporters can see that , this ship is not well managed in terms of finances. The Colonel is a Chairman,CEO,CFO,Head of HR,Head of PR,Head of Kit Management,Head of Security, Head of Head Coach...i can go on and on the whole day. I can assure you this team has no Business Continuity Plan (BCP) as a company. If the Colonel a shapa ke stroke tomorrow, everything will in a stand still! Nxh nxh nxh...Mickey Modisane is just a mouth piece, not a strategist, contributes nothing towards the growth and vision of this team, he just says what he has been told to say by the Colonel.

@ Champ-Marapo, looking at your pic from the "Pitch Invasion"article that was published yesterday. You don't look like someone who would withstand a 30 minutes lecture on Business Management or Accounting. You don't run things like you run a Somali Spaza shop ko Mohlakeng. Your sponsors and investors need to see that you are in control of your finances, and proper sound financial management systems are in place.

Adv Zola Majavu and Stanley Matthews could just see that Dr Tooth wants to run this PSL like OPC hence their early resignations. If you wana hear praises on how professional a team is in terms of management. Please ask Director of Corporate Sponsors for Standard Bank and hear what he has to say about Kaizer Chiefs...
