The Nigerian who made a pledge to score at least 20 goals is now just 19 behind his target after the first match and 29 matches to go in the 16-team Sogaz Championship of Russia.
The goal was made after a long ball was gently flicked on by Artem Dzyuba to the left side of the area where Emenike wasted no time to poke it beyond goalkeeper Dmitri Khomich.
It was also the second fastest after Alexey Bychkov's goal in 1999 for FC Shinnik Yaroslavl after just nine seconds.
Spartak Moscow's new manager Unai Emery will have been delighted with his Nigerian striker whom he paired with Artem Dzyuba flanked on the wings by Aiden McGeady and Diniyar Bilyaletdinov.
Arsen Khubulov equalised for the hosts in the 14th minute and despite loads of pressure, Spartak had to wait until the 86th minute to get the winning goal and give Coach Emery a perfect start after his break from Valencia.
Emenike was replaced by Brazilian Ari in the 79th minute. Spartak got the winning goal in the 86th minute though it will be classified as an own goal, it was due to good work by Pavel Yakovlev, who was on loan at Krylia Sovetov Samara last season and came on as a substitute in the 83rd minute for former Everton winger, Diniyar Bilyaletdinov.
The 21-year old dribbled past three Alania defenders and sent in a cross that struck Anton Grigoryev and bounded into the net to restore Spartak's lead.
So Spartak Moscow start on a good note in the league in which they came second last season due in good part to Emenike's 13 goals in 22 matches.

Malawi 1-1 and we won 2-0 against Ruanda. This record isnt that bad.
No sane person would simply wake up and decide to try something new when he is well aware that what he has at hand is his best.
I am not against using home based stars for our national team. My consternation in the matter is the fact that our coach is not being futuristic in his approach.
AFCON comes up early next year. We have barely 7 months to build our team into a compact winning side, yet Keshi is experimenting. We don't have a team!
We had a nucleus of established stars on ground when Keshi assumed duties as coach, as at today, we have none! Presenting a disjointed team at AFCON 2013 is suicidal.
Keshi's team cannot stand strong opposition like Ghana and Ivory Coast. Why keep out the likes of Emenike, Mikel, et al when you are yet to have formidable tested replacements?
Considering the time left for AFCON 2013 (early January), Keshi should stop his experimentation or we all should brace up for the worst SE showing in the history of AFCON!
