Moholo joined the Buccaneers last month from Free State Stars, but few have given him a chance of regular action given the presence of Onyekachi Okonkwo, Thandani Ntshumayelo and Andile Jali in his preferred position.
However, the former AmaTuks midfielder insists he didn’t join Pirates just to sit in the stands.
“Pirates have achieved great success in the past two seasons and I know many people expect a lot from me to continue being part of a successful team,” Moholo tells KickOff.com.
“It’s a great challenge for me both as a person and a player to join a big team like Pirates. I am not afraid of competition because it’s everywhere in football. I can’t run away from competition; they are players and I am also a player – I just need to work hard and prove my worth.”
Pirates travel to Mpumalanga this weekend for the Mbombela Cup, where they will take on Mbabane Swallows, while Mamelodi Sundowns face Sivutsa Stars.
“It doesn’t matter which game or tournament, Pirates fans have no room for disappointment,” Moholo adds. “We will give it our all to win the tournament.”
