Another casualty at Chloorkop

Harold Jazzy Queen Lekgodi leaves Mamelodi Sundowns

Harold Legodi is the latest member of the Mamelodi Sundowns backroom staff to have been show the door.

‘Jazzy Queen’ had been acting as assistant coach to Johan Neeskens, but now follows the likes of Brian Baloyi and Walter Kutumela out the Chloorkop exit door.

Sundowns PRO Kabelo Mosito had earlier told KickOff.com that Legodi had been left behind from the tour of Swaziland for ‘personal reasons, but he insists that is not the case – and adds that he has been working without a contract for the past six months.

“My contract with Sundowns expired in January which means I have been working for Sundowns for the past six months without a contract,” he says. “However, I am a professional coach and there is no way I can continue working like that.”

He adds: “I have to mention that I have no hard feelings towards anyone at Sundowns. I enjoyed working with Mr Neeskens who I believe if, given a chance, would succeed at Sundowns.”
