Mphahlele training on his own

Mamelodi Sundowns defender Ramahlwe Mphahlele told to train alone

Mamelodi Sundowns defender Ramahlwe Mphahlele has been told to train alone away from the first team.

The former Moroka Swallows and Under-23 national team defender has also been left out of the team that travelled to Swaziland for their pre-season camp yesterday and it appears that he is not in coach Johan Neesken's plans for the upcoming season.

Mphahlele has failed to get a game time under coach Neeskens since he was signed last year from Swallows, only making a few appearances for the club this past season.

"I am training on my own, away from the rest of the team and I'm no longer in the coach's plans," he says.

Mphalele confirms clubs have shown interest in him with his former club Swallows also one of them.

"Celtic are the ones who have shown huge interest, Platinum Stars and Chippa United also, but Celtic are serious about it," he says.
