Jomo Cosmos have snapped up former Free State Stars striker Aleni Lebyane while Malian defender Ousmane Berthe is still faced with the prospect of leaving the club destined for France.

Lebyane has joined Cosmos along with fellow ex-Free State forward Madoda Motha who spent the past six months at Sivutsa Stars after being offloaded in January.

"We have signed both Lebyane and Motha and they are already training with the rest of the squad," says Lucky Mhlathe, the Cosmos spokesman.

Ezenkosi – back in the First Division yet again – have also brought in Richard Danse from FC AK.

Facing the departure door is the highly rated Berthe who is most likely to be playing in France in the new season.

Berthe is understood to be sitting on an offer from France but there is also a possibility of going to the English Championship.

Word from the club is that Berthe is merely waiting for the processing of some paperwork before he leaves.
