Kaizer Chiefs unveiled their new away kit for the 2012/13 season last night.

The new kit was unveiled during SABC’s Soccerzone, with Bernard Parker, Siyabonga Nkosi and Tefu Mashamaite the 'models' during the live television performance.

The new kit is made from Nike’s ground-breaking recycled polyester, making them Nike’s most environmentally friendly kit ever produced. Each kit is made using up to 13 recycled plastic water bottles.

This innovative manufacturing process reduces energy consumption by up to 30 percent compared to manufacturing traditional polyester. Since 2010, Nike has used an estimated 115 million recycled plastic bottles to create its high performance kits.

The kit and extended line will be available from Thursday at the Kaizer Chiefs Retail store at the Village, Naturena and Nike Only Stores, and leading retailers.
