Roger De Sa leaves Bidvest Wits

Bidvest Wits have parted ways with head coach Roger de Sa.

New club CEO Jose Ferreira confirmed that assistant coached Eric Tinkler and Ashley Makhanya will takeover in a caretaker capacity until a replacement is found, adding that they “would like to take this opportunity of thanking Roger de Sa for the many years of dedicated service to this club and wish him the very best in his future endeavours”.

De Sa has endured some bad press in recent weeks. According to reports, his ex-partner Nicole Henderson sought a protection order against him after the former Bafana Bafana international had allegedly threatened her new boyfriend.

De Sa did not attend the court on the prescribed date and has until July 18 to respond.

The news is a massive blow to Bidvest Wits, who are already three weeks into pre-season training and have signed some quality players like Tinashe Nengomasha, Matthew Pattison, Thomas Sweswe and Tlou Molekwane.
