Jomo gets some help

Jomo Sono hires assistant coach MacDonald Makhubedu from Sivutsa Stars

In a bid to gain promotion back to the Premiership next season, Jomo Sono has enlisted the help of coach MacDonald Makhubedu from Sivutsa Stars.

Makhubedu, who is recognised as one of the best young coaches in the country, helped Sivutsa gain promotion to the First Division last season.

He has joined Jomo Sono as assistant coach; the first hint that Sono is loosening his vice-like grip of the coaching reins at Ezenkosi.

Is this a move in the right direction for Cosmos? Have your say on our Facebook page!

The Mpumalanga-born coach started his new job at Cosmos last week and is expected to sit on the bench with the club boss next season, as Ezenkosi look for another quick return to the Premiership.

Meanwhile, Cosmos midfielder Bamuza Sono tells KickOff.com that he will not be hanging up his boots just yet, despite being appointed club manager.

Sono says he will double up as a player and a member of Ezenkosi management committee next season.

"I am still 32 years old and I believe I still have a lot to offer playing football," Sono says.
