The South African national team will be based in Durban during the Africa Cup on Nations next year.
Bafana Bafana will open the tournament at Soccer City in Soweto on January 19, and then have two matches in Durban on the 23rd and 27th.
And, should they finish top of Group A, they will remain in Durban, while a second-placed finish will see them play their quarterfinal.
Meanwhile, Safa have finally confirmed the termination of assistant coach Jairo Leal’s contract.
The Brazilian first arrived as countryman Carlos Alberto Parreira’s assistant, and kept his job during Pitso Mosimane’s reign.
Also leaving is another Brazilian, physical trainer Francesco Gonzales.
