The club’s boss Chippa Mpengesi disclosed to KickOff.com two days ago that he had agreed terms with the player and his agent was going to fetch the player in France so he could complete the deal.
“He is a big animal. He is one player that we think will make a big impact for next season. We have agreed on personal terms with the player and his agent has gone to fetch him in France,” Mpengesi said at the time.
A day later, however, Maazou has signed for Tunisian side Etoile du Sahel and he can be seen on a number of pictures on Sahel’s website celebrating his move to the North African side.
Maazou was previously linked with Orlando Pirates.
Mpengesi was not available for comment.
