The Western Cape side got an automatic qualification after they won their Group B with nine points, having won all three matches. They will be joined by either hosts Baroka FC or Roses United, who are still battling for the other spot in the NFD.
Milano United coach Theo Hempe was obviously pleased to have guided the team to the NFD, especially in his first season coaching the club.
“When I started at the beginning of the season I had a three-year plan because I was still playing last season,” he says. “So to achieve promotion in our very first season means a lot.
“We don't have a lot of stars. The only thing that keeps us going is our hard work and dedication to the team.”
