Chokoe’s contract with Atlie FC ended last month and he confirmed that the club won’t be renewing his contract after the team was relegated to the Vodacom League.
Chokoe was spotted on Baroka’s bench during the on-going Vodacom League play-offs in Polokwane, issuing instructions to the team.
“I signed a one-year contract with Altie, but it has expired now and I have not renewed it,” he said after Baroka beat Vardos FC 2-1 to stay in the contention of the play-offs.
“Atlie management knows that I am here trying to help Baroka win promotion, so it’s not a problem. I want to win promotion with Baroka. They will always have a special place in my heart.”
Chokoe said that he has not signed a contract with Baroka yet, but that if he can help them qualify for the NFD, he will sign one.
“At the moment I’m just helping out. If we win promotion, then I will definitely sign with the team,” he said.
