The two finalists, Gordon Igesund of Moroka Swallows and Steve Komphela of Free State Stars, will make their final presentations to the Safa technical committee later today.
However, some reports suggest that both men could get a role in the national team, with Komphela staying on in his current assistant coach role, while Igesund replaces the axed Pitso Mosimane as head coach.
Just how this would work remains a mystery – the two have vastly different coaching styles and approaches to the game.
If it does turn out this way, it could be a recipe for disaster, but all will be revealed around 4pm today, with the announcement live on both SuperSport and e-tv.
