Another casualty at Chloorkop as Walter Kutumela leaves Sundowns

Mamelodi Sundowns have got rid of another member of the administrative team, with security and logistics manager Walter Kutumela leaving Chloorkop.

Commercial and marketing manager Brian Baloyi recently announced that he was leaving to pursue business interests, despite allegations that he was axed for leaking information to a local soccer agent regarding The Brazilians’ intentions to sign Morgan Gould, who has since joined Kaizer Chiefs.

Kutumela, who also played for Sundowns, will leave Chloorkop on Friday.

Downs PRO Kabelo Mosito has confirmed that Kutumela has resigned, but said it was to join the City of Tshwane.

Sundowns today announced former club captain Mike Ntombela as their new team manager, replacing Michael Manzini, whose new position has still not been clarified.

It adds fuel to rumours in recent times that many officials at the club do not see eye to eye, with certain fans pinpointing Trott Moloto and Kenneth Makhanya as the main culprits.

The latest edition of Kick Off magazine (issue 423) features an in-depth look into the behind-the-scenes problems that led to another trophyless season at the club.
