Chiefs have also signed Siyabonga Nkosi (no. 10), Siboniso Gaxa (no. 5), Kgotso Moleko (no. 18), Sakhile Hlongwa (no. 28), Morgan Gould (no. 83), Kingston Nkhatha (no. 8) and Brilliant Khuzwayo.
Khuzwayo was not officially unveiled because he was playing for Thanda Royal Zulu against Chippa United yesterday.
Jessica Motaung admits the Mathoho deal is not completely done. "I was unveiling the jersey [Mathoho's no. 3] and I was not unveiling the player."
"But I'm confident that Mathoho will be a Chiefs player."
Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter admits that he was not involved in selecting the new players, but says he was in constant contact with management during the process.
"I was not the one who scouted all the players, but there were ongoing conversations," he says.
Jessica Motaung also confirms that Ace Khuse will be "the link between the first and development team." However, Khuse remains the assistant coach alongside Doctor Khumalo.
"I'm very happy with the technical team that we've got," Baxter says.
