Khenyeza has scored just once for SuperSport since an earlier move was ‘worked out' for him to leave Mamelodi Sundowns prior to the expiry of his contract as he was already disgruntled at Chloorkop.
The pre-contract for a one year deal that Khenyeza had signed with SuperSport only comes into effect on July 1 but the 30 year-old already prefers to leave than stay.
Though reluctant SuperSport seem to be keen to put him on the market and let him go to the club that offers the best deal for them.
KickOff.com has learnt that Ajax Cape Town have been joined by BidVest Wits in the race to snap Khenyeza.
Word is that Wits' interest is being influenced by Jose Ferreira who was still at SuperSport when Khenyeza signed his pre-contract.
Ferreira is now the Wits CEO.
With Ajax they are banking on the fact that Khenyeza enjoyed the best form of his career to date at the club.
Ajax's interest is also being powered by the fact that SuperSport are also keen on players in their books who they could trade in a swap deal.
