Super Falcons head coach Kadiri Ikhana was missing at the stadium when his wards played out a 0-0 draw against South Africa's Banyana Banyana in an international friendly on Saturday.
Ikhana was taken ill and advised by the team doctor, Omoye Akhigbe, to observe strict bed rest in order to recuperate fully.
"The coach needs to rest and get well soon. We have already given him some medication and we have advised that he stays in bed," Said Akhigbe.
It is not clear when the coach will return to full duty, but officials expect it to be soon.
Ikhana has three official matches under his belt as coach of the Super Falcons, with two wins over Zimbabwe, and a draw against Banyana Banyana in Rustenburg, South Africa.
