The 25-year-old, who turned down an opportunity to play for Bafana Bafana early this year, is delighted with his reward after a fine season. "I've really enjoyed my time here and I'm looking forward to another three years at the club,” he tells the club’s website. "It has been amazing. Everyone keeps talking about these last three years, winning two promotions and then staying in the Premier League. "We've a new manager (Chris Houghton) coming in now and it's a great time to build on what we did last season. Everything I've heard about the new manager is really good. He's a football man, and a good man manager too,” he adds. Houghton, too, is delighted that Surman accepted a new deal. "Andrew did really well for Norwich last season and I am pleased that he has accepted our offer of a new three-year deal. Since joining from Wolves he has continued to improve, and showed this by scoring some important goals in the Premier League last season. "It's a deal that is well-deserved, and hopefully he can pick up where he left off when we get back for pre-season,” Houghton concludes.

I would be very keen on the reason why he turned down that opportunity to play for his country since not everyone wants to be associated with mediocrity and failure.
Lets not pass judgement, Kick Off do us a favor and interview this player.
If you qualify to play for England and you haven't been called or considered for England squad then you are not good enough.
Matthew Pattison is an example of EPL (former) player like Surman. Why is he not in Bafana Bafana.
