Rumours had linked Chansa to Kaizer Chiefs, whose coach Stuart Baxter has a good relationship with the player, but Pirates and Henan Jianye agreed terms on his transfer today.
"Although the club would have liked to keep the Africa Cup of Nations winner at the team for the new season, the player had already expressed his intentions to move overseas for a fresh challenge and hence the club ceded to the players request," a report on the club's official website reads.
