Makola AWOL at Free State Stars

Mpho Makola wants a transfer to Orlando Pirates or Kaizer Chiefs from Free State Stars

Posted: 20 June 2012 Time: 01:20 pm

Free State Stars midfielder Mpho Makola wants out of Ea Lla Koto, and has not reported back to the club for pre-season training.

Makola missed Stars' first training session in Bethlehem yesterday.

The 26-year-old midfielder is currently at home in Johannesburg, and tells KickOff.com that he has no intention of playing for Free State Stars next season.

"I am still here at home. I am still waiting for my agent for a way forward," Makola says. "I can confirm that I am no longer interested in playing for Free State Stars and I am interested in facing new challenges next season."

Makola has high ambitions, telling KickOff.com he want to play for Bafana Bafana – something he sees as more likely after a big move.

"I believe if can move to another team will realise that dream," he says.

The Groblersdal-born midfielder has been linked to both Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs.

"I have played for Kaizer Chiefs juniors," he says, "but I also grew up supporting Pirates. I wouldn't mind playing for either team. I believe I can compete well in both teams." Chiefs and Pirates fans: Do you want Makola in your team? Have your say on our Facebook page here!

Club PRO Lebohang Maketa confirms that Makola was a no-show, but says he has not heard anything about a move as yet.

"I haven't seen him yet and all I know is that he hasn't reported back to the club yet," Maketa says. "I can't confirm that he won't be coming back and to my knowledge ... I haven't heard anything from management about whether he is leaving or not.

"I will have to get back to you on that one ..."

you are contracted to FSS so honour your contract, maybe this is a lesson never to sign a long term contract with teams if you are not sure of where you want to be

Some people are cutting themselves a piece of cake at other people's wedding- wait your turn, offers will come! Besides, doing the Mphela thing is a no non- you have just scared your suitors away. Or better still, go to Sundowns- just tell Mambush that Chiefs is desperate for your signature~!

Confirmed: Kaizer chiefs fans are fools.I hear Stupid fans saying Makola must honour his contract but they want Mathoho to leave Celtic with still two years on his contract. Why dont u also tellmathoho to honour his contract?? This guy's contract with FSS comes to an end on the last day of june but FSS has one option on it. They havent exercised that option yet.Technically he is not their player. Again i hear

Read comprehensively my outie, Mpho Makola's situation is different to Matoho.
Mpho is absent without leave
Matoho .....Kaizer Chiefs have approached Bloem Celtics for the services of Matoho, there's also an offer on the table for Matoho.

I hope this would assist you in reconstructing your comments and post it again.

@ MORUTI

question remains whether he in a wanted list of CHIEFS or RATS, since MATHOHO is and CHIEFS are willing to pay for him while CELTICS is also willing to sell to the highest bidder i dont see anything wrong with us hoping that MATHOHO could make his way to NATURENA, on the other hand this boy is still hoping to get something from GAUTENG teams..two different cases boss!!!FSS are still waiting for him to report back...

This bastards FSS did not excercise the one year option but after hearing the story about Chiefs and Pirates they will do that only to get cash. If they wanted the player seriously they could have excercised it long time ago.So they think makola should wait for them to decide on his future. hulle is maal en dronk.
