Wits let Batabaire go

Timothy Batabaire transfer listed by Bidvest Wits

Posted: 19 June 2012 Time: 12:23 pm

Ugandan defender Timothy Batabaire is on his way out of Bidvest Wits, but Sipho Mngomezulu and Kampamba Chintu are staying on.

Batabaire has spent the past three years at Wits battling with injuries, which has limited his chances of regular game-time. His contract will not be renewed when it expires at the end of the month.

He joins David de Oliviera, Sifiso Vilakazi and Patrick Phungwayo on the list of players on their way out.

Wits will, however, be welcoming back Mark Haskins following the expiry of his loan at Jomo Cosmos.

The club returns to training next Tuesday and will be heading off to a pre-season camp in Nelspruit next month, during which they will play Australian club Perth Glory.
