Sail meeting Vodacom today over Challenge

Posted: 19 June 2012 Time: 09:28 am

Vodacom Challenge organisers Sail have a meeting with the sponsors, Vodacom and the two parties are expected to finalise the cancellation of this year’s event.

KickOff.com got it from Chiefs’ footballer manager Bobby Motaung on Monday that this year’s event has been called off, but the organisers are yet to state the reasons.

Sail’s Jabu Mathibela says the two parties are likely to issue a joint statement later today.

“We haven’t issued a statement whatsoever in that regard. We are meeting Vodacom today and we are hoping that after our meeting we should be able to issue a statement of some sort. The meeting is scheduled for 15:00,” Mathibela says.
