Santos looking for another win

Santos looking for another win against Chippa United in Promotional Play-offs

Posted: 18 June 2012 Time: 02:15 pm

Santos head coach Maart Nooij says that nothing but a win will be acceptable when they face Chippa United on Wednesday night.

"There is only one option and that's to win, we will do everything to stay in the Premiership," Nooij says. "Since I have come in here we have played each game like a cup final and this will be another cup final as well."

Nooij faces the prospect of losing two of his top players come the end of the season, with Eleazar Rodgers and Erwin Isaacs on the wanted lists of some top teams in the PSL.

"We have good players, and I know there are wanted by several clubs, but that's not interesting for us at the moment. We have to play Chippa United on Wednesday. Teams want them but that's not important now."

Meanwhile, Chippa coach Roger Sikhakhane says his side cannot afford to drop more points against Santos, after drawing 1-1 with Thanda Royal Zulu on Saturday.

"It will be a different approach when play Santos, we respect them but it will be a tough game and we don't want to drop any more points from now on," Sikhakhane says.

The game kicks off at 7.30pm at Athlone Stadium on Wednesday night.
