Arrows back at training, minus 'big names'

Golden Arrows are the first Premiership team back at pre-season training

Posted: 18 June 2012 Time: 11:22 am

Despite not being in the season-opening MTN8 Cup, Golden Arrows are still the first Premiership team back at pre-season training and will gather this afternoon for a session.

Coach Muhsin Ertugral will run his eye over the squad, but notable absentees will be Siyabonga Nkosi (signed for Kaizer Chiefs), Katlego Mashego, Elrio van Heerden and Clifford Ngobeni.   Ngobeni is headed back to Pirates who own him while Van Heerden's future is not yet certain. Mashego, meanwhile, is also club hunting.   Ertugral will cast his eye over new signing Stanton Lewis, who has recently joined from neighbours AmaZulu.
