Under the chairmanship of Fanyana Sibanyoni, the committee completed what it says was the "gruelling" process of interviewing four coaches from its short-list: Neil Tovey, Gavin Hunt, Ephraim 'Shakes' Mashaba and Gordon Igesund.
Bafana caretaker coach Steve Komphela will face the panel on Monday, June 18.
Under the watchful eye of auditors Ernst & Young, the prospective candidates were interviewed by Sibanyoni, the technical committee chair, as well as Safa technical director Serame Letsoaka, CEO Robin Petersen, Jomo Sono, Clive Barker, Farouk Khan, Buti Mathathe and Suoane Ramashala.
The remaining committee member, Ted Dumitru, was not available as he is on business overseas.
"The committee was very happy with the whole exercise and once we finish interviewing Steve, the process of finding a new coach will almost be complete, with only the approval of the Safa national executive committee remaining," Sibanyoni says.

Come on now, remove that question its silly if not mischievious.
Good luck to whoever takes on BB. You have a monumental task ahead.
Ted is overseas...on which basis was he appointed part of the panel? It seems with SAFA by the vertue of being a former BB coach you are guaranteed a technical post.
I won't be surprised next to see PItso as part of the technical team as well. The question is when people have failed why are they still tasked with the responsibility of identifying/recommending someone who's expected to succeed? To me this defeats logic. It's like our president who assign someone who's failed as a minister or on any other capacity locally and then he gives him a dimplomatic post...what an embarassment and disgrace!
I am certain that of all the panel members especially former coaches everyone has his own choice and the possibility of swaying the outcome is very much alive....paranoid or not but that's the reality
How can a student interview a teacher .. sies.. mx. uhh realy SAFA is a circus.
