The former youth international defender raised his game over the past season with some impressive for Ajax and has now got numerous clubs sniffing around him.
KickOff.com has been told that SuperSport United are leading the pack of interested clubs, with the others being Bloemfontein Celtic, Bidvest Wits, Mamelodi Sundowns, Golden Arrows and Moroka Swallows, among others.
A move away from the Urban Warriors is increasingly becoming likely, with Ajax already making plans to bring in at least two defenders to fill up the gap that will be left by Hlatshwayo.
SuperSport holds the edge over the other clubs in the race to snap up the burly defender as they have players that Ajax are keen on.
Ajax CEO George Comitis confirms that there has been massive interest in the 22-year-old.
"There are just way too many clubs that want him but we will see what happens," Comitis says.
It is believed that the Gauteng clubs have the edge in snatching up Hlatshwayo, who is originally from Soweto.
'Tyson' is just as comfortable playing centre-back as he is playing at right-back.
Ajax have also been approached for the midfield trio of George Maluleka, Granwald Scott and Nhlanhla Vilakazi.
