Gumede back at Pirates

Orlando Pirates have recalled defender Mbongeni Gumede from Sivutsa Stars

Orlando Pirates have recalled national Under-20 defender Mbongeni Gumede from Sivutsa Stars FC where he was on loan.  

Sivutsa boss Derick Khoza confirmed that Pirates have recalled the U-20 star for next season.   "He is a star in the making and it’s sad to lose him. Anyway he was on loan to us and belongs to Pirates.   "Palacios made mention that they want to use him for next season; he has since been released back to Pirates,” says Khoza.   Gumede was part of the successful national U-20 team that participated in the 8-Nation International tournament played in Cape Town recently.   The Mighty Buccaneers have already signed midfielder Thabo Rakhele from Sivutsa.

Palacious is signalling his intentions by also bringing the youngsters on board.

While others go out to sign madals we also look back to our development and see what it has in store for us.

I can only say...welcome to a place where you are guaranteed a medal if not two or three in your first season...ask Thabo Matlaba, Ndzunga, Sangweni and many more.Where else can you get that in SA?

I am not a double dealer. Lucky Lekgwati indicated that he won't be retiring which means Mathoho will only play if he is suspended or injured hence he is not an essential player for Pirates anymore. Shoes on the other hand will cheering even a second on the field for Pirates because he will be learning whilst Mathoho will be complaining.

Truelly speaking this is what we should be doing this season, promoting younsters. We don't have to go to the market coz we are not losing our players and our squad is not ageing, we have assembled a young squad.

during 2000-2001 season chiefs won a quadruple of trophies&were voted african team of the year,no team eva matched dat feat,so we dnt care abt da treble of a homeless team,without a team bus,working out at a very burned mayfair sports ground grass.khoza used ur trophies 2 decorate hs house cos u've no trophy cabinet.fly by night teams.
