Ajax Cape Town vs Manchester United clash confirmed

Posted: 4 June 2012 Time: 01:53 pm

The high-profile friendly between Ajax Cape Town and Manchester United has been confirmed for next month.

KickOff.com reported on May 25 that the 19-time English champions will face the Urban Warriors on July 21 at Cape Town Stadium, just three days after a match against AmaZulu at Moses Mabhida Stadium. Will you be going to the game? Have your say on Facebook HERE!

Ajax CEO George Comitis says he "is not in a position to give any information", but a source at the City of Cape Town has confirmed to KickOff.com that negotiations have now been completed and that the match will take place.

United were last in South Africa in 2008 when they faced Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs in the Vodacom Challenge.

3rd string side will be playing Ajax. The stars will be recovering from Euro 2012. Don't expect to see EVRA, ROONEY, NANI, et al...

heheehe, tickets will be sold out in just two seconds of release- it takes the whole season to pack Cape Town Stadium, that is if we speak of an avarage stadia attendance in a season... and people complain when there were more Ethopians in the stadium, in South africa, than South africans- and people will say Bafana cant score- where should they take the motivation when people have self-endorsed themselves British citizenships while living in SA?

Frankly, all stadia Cape Town and Rustenburg should be dismantled as they are no longer white Elephants part pure unnecessary expenditure- we can feed the poor with the money paid to manage these always empty stadia... next should be Orlando stadium- the host team there wins a treble back to back but Sowetans still prefer to go to shebeens than walk to the stadium- it only cost 40 bucks mind you.

I know we don't exactly see eye to eye, but I agree with you. And besides that's some funny stuff. Comitis thinks he is cool now, playing all coy and sh!t.

@ the Ghost besides this is just a game, this guy does noot wanna learn 1stly it was OJ Mabizela..he took long 2 make his decision while the player was accomodated by ajax training with them and all that ish, then there was my hero Benito "18 area" Maccathy...and gues wat benni went on to make his mark, Mabizela did well considering all the demons he had in the past. now we are told comittis remains mum about the game, sponsors wants 2 associate themselves with big brands and ajax shud know that it all starts here...don`t be secreative about shi.t something so small...phuq!! we wanna book hotels in Cape Town prior and wacth the 2nd string Man U(due to EURO ofcos)in action
