Motaung: I have confidence in Baxter

Kaizer Chiefs chairman Kaizer Motaung has a lot of confidence in Stuart Baxter

Kaizer Chiefs chairman Kaizer Motaung says he has a lot of confidence in new coach Stuart Baxter reviving club and helping them win the League title which has eluded them for the past seven years.

Baxter will take over the coaching job next season and his mandate is to win the League.   Motaung says Baxter has all the abilities to put together a very competitive team that will compete well next season.   "It's very interesting about this seven years thing because some other team had not won anything for eight years and nobody was saying anything about them," he said during the Black Label Curling Cup launch in Johannesburg on Monday.   "But having said that, obviously I do have confidence in him, I've actually checked his profile, I think he has got the ability to put a team together that will be able to win the League," says Motaung.

_quote Motaung also said that they are close on signing new players to start building a competitive team for the coach, but would not deny or confirm if the players were David Obua, Morgan Gould, Siboniso Gaxa and Erwin Isaacs. who have all been linked with a move to Amakhosi.   "I cannot mention any names but I can tell you for sure that we are busy negotiating with players and clubs regarding the acquisition of players. I can't say anything at this point in time," he says.   He also mentioned that he will finalize the process of signing players soon to avoid other teams coming in with a bigger better offers and ending up losing out which has happened in the past.   "We know that Kaizer Chiefs makes a lot of money for clubs. Because with any player that we go for, what normally happens is that we make an offer and the clubs then make money because they go to Sundowns and obviously ask for a bigger offer from Sundowns, so they make money out of us and we are aware of that," he adds.

As much as being a Chiefs I sometimes feel Kaizer doesn't talk a lot but when he does,he sulks & point fingers. For us supporters it doesn't matter if other teams didn't win anything in 8 years. As I posted last week, when Stuart Baxter achieves,Kaizer is gonna come out & say there were doubting thomases on his decision to hire Stuart.Forgetting nobody said we told you so about VV.

The simple formula in life is don't compare yourself with others as your fingers can be burned.Do what is best for you & don't you will be judged on that.

I think Stuart Baxter is not the right candidate to coach Chiefs, maybe coaching Bidvest Wits might fit in properly.Mr Motaung snr this coach will bring more harm in the flair kaizer chiefs used to have. please re consider, otherwise no trophies will come your way as a club atleast not in the next five years.

How could you expect to win championship if you have average cows like Nyawana, Nengomasha, Katsande, etc. in your team.

Zebras are pathetic and average, period.

I SEE ANOTHER DRY SEASON FOR THIS FAMILY BUSINESS!!!

If the players mentioned above are signed by Kaizer Chiefs, then a league trophy is coming to Naturena next season.

I will not dwell much on Baxter's appointment and i will also spend minimum time worrying about Chiefs until i see the signings that Kaizer is talking about. I think Kaizer needs to man up and stop pointing fingers at other people, we all know that it took them 8yrs before winning something but that does not give us the right to stoop to their level, we are the glamour boys and they are the ghosts.

He's an average coach and definately nothing special, but maybe he's just what Chiefs needs with the standards they've set themselves recently.

And as for Bobby buying his dad an electric chair, USILE! lol.

What really make a coach successful?
-His experience
-Players that he have
-Or luck
If you take all the coaches in the Psl,Stuart has got more experience than a lot.

Kaizer also has promised that players will be brought in.

As much as i wished for a local coach,I think we need to give Stuart a chance & unlike his predecessor hopefully he won't reject players that are being suggested. All the players being mentioned now is probably on his endorsement.

Hopefully Stuart Baxter's experience, new players & luck will deliver the trophies.
