'Yeye' scored in Chiefs' 2-0 win over Ajax Cape Town on Wednesday in his first start since December, but the good performance was marred by his withdrawal at half-time owing to an ankle knock. He was replaced by Lucky Baloyi.
Letsholonyane, who has just returned from a long layoff with a knee injury, assures the Amakhosi faithful that he was taken off because of his fitness.
"As you know it was my second game after a long-term injury so I think match fitness was my problem, that's why I went off [at half-time] … it was not because of an injury," Letsholonyane says.
Letsholonyane further says it was great getting on the scoresheet.
"It felt great scoring that goal and credit to my teammates for helping me score the goal. It is team effort," Yeye concludes.
