Yeye: I'm not injured

Reneilwe Letsholonyane allays injury fears for Kaizer Chiefs

Posted: 9 May 2012 Time: 10:04 pm

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Reneilwe Letsholonyane has allayed fears that he may have suffered another injury setback.

'Yeye' scored in Chiefs' 2-0 win over Ajax Cape Town on Wednesday in his first start since December, but the good performance was marred by his withdrawal at half-time owing to an ankle knock. He was replaced by Lucky Baloyi.

Letsholonyane, who has just returned from a long layoff with a knee injury, assures the Amakhosi faithful that he was taken off because of his fitness.

"As you know it was my second game after a long-term injury so I think match fitness was my problem, that's why I went off [at half-time] … it was not because of an injury," Letsholonyane says.

Letsholonyane further says it was great getting on the scoresheet.

"It felt great scoring that goal and credit to my teammates for helping me score the goal. It is team effort," Yeye concludes.

Reneilwe has been our mainstay even when many where not aware of Tinashe's slowing down. This boy held the team 2gether.Pity so called VV wanted to replace him instantly when he saw young Baloyi &the moegoe VV was getting excited that Baloyi is his product after being with Chiefs for 3 season.

I still say nengomasha is finished. cheese and onion "katsande" should play that position. Yeye is just too gud, sherrif will learn a lot from this maestro..

Parker worked his socks off as usual , and finally had a goal. but um still not conviced he is effective enough..anyway, well done to the boys, hope we can close the season out with two more victories..K4L
