This group will return for the second phase of screening in May, ahead of the Eight-Nation Adidas Under-15 tournament in Mexico from June 18-24.
About 50 players from top-notch football academies such as Kwara Football Academy, Ilorin and the Abuja-based Fosla Academy, and some players from the Copa Coca-Cola UK Summer Camp of 2011, took part in the screening exercise at the Fifa Technical Centre, National Stadium, Abuja.
The free-scoring Under-15 national team on Thursday dismissed the senior women's team, Super Falcons, 4-1 in a training match at the same venue.
Only 18 players will be selected from the returning group of 26 for the Eight-Nation tournament.
Selected to return are Muraina Sanni, Anas Mohammed, Ajayi Abiodun, Obasi Chigozie, Philip Samson, Hamza Tanimu, Etiboy Akpan, Chidera Eze, Ekene Onwuka, Clement Ogbobe, Njoku Jacob, Sogo Alaofin, Uche Chinedu, Abdul Ahmed, Adewale Makanjuola, Bonaventure Dennis, Awoniyi Taiwo, Udoh Akpan, Lazarus John, Elijah Joseph, Solomon Nsude, Ajetomobi Ojo, Isah Hussaini, Abbas Ibrahim, Mbotidem Okoh and Abubakar Babaji.
