It is an unusual move for Chiefs, however it was predicted by KickOff.com: we reported over three weeks ago that he was facing the axe. CLICK HERE for more.
According to the club's official website, 'VV' and the club agreed to part ways in a meeting held today, attended by "the executive chairman, a member of the board, the football manager, the coach Vladimir Vermezovic and his agent".
The decision was taken "in order to allow both parties to prepare for the new season in good time". Have your say on Facebook: Is this a good move by Amakhosi?
The statement continues: "The club thanks the coach for his services during his tenure at Kaizer Chiefs for the last three seasons and wishes him all the best for his future endeavours."
Ace Khuse will take over the reins for the rest of the season, assisted by Doctor Khumalo and Arthur Zwane.

Your comments on this story...
kikikikikikikikikikikiki i have been warning VV for long.
No Trophy this season and no Championship.
I’ve always said that players need someone like father figure, leader , motivator and its a pity you failed dismally to all these aspects.
You failed dismally to control your emotions always said things that you shouldn’t be saying publicly about players. You destabilised the team and demotivated the players spirit.
Some of your weakness:
Abia Nale scene
Kaizer Jrn story
Jimmy Tau saga
Siphiwe Tshabalala’s mind is no longer at Naturena
You don’t worry about the job…..Your Country ,family and the rest follows
once and always
The problem remain, no quality players and no competent manager.
The fiasco and circus perpetuate
My DNA is still Black and White
This is the family decision by family members...I started to smell a rat when Bobby said..."me and my dad are going to have number of meetinghs from now". Ag shame VV without tasting the league!
Is he not the special one anymore - i thought at Naturena they dont fire coaches according to their fans this club is run professionally, i dont know since when is releasing someone from his contract not professional.
