Nomvete has enjoyed another great season for the Dube Birds and is currently theLeague’s joint top goalscorer with nine goals.
‘Bhele’ put in another great performance against Free State Stars last night and was instrumental in Swallows’ winning goal, which was scored by David Mathebula.
Nomvete’s current contract expires at the end of the season and management is making desperate attempts to keep him for another season, with the playing having almost joined Ajax Cape Town at the start of the season.
“Nomvete is happy playing for Moroka Swallows,” Igusend tells KickOff.com. “He is enjoying his football like a teenager, is very fit and you can see that in the way he is performing.
“He is in prime of his career and I don’t think it will be wise for him to move around. I am confident he will stay with us next season.”
Macbeth Sibaya is another player whose future at Swallows look uncertain, but Igesund says he would also like to keep the former Bafana Bafana midfielder for next season.
“It’s still early to take about players to keep or not"."But I would like to keep most of my players and my main focus next season will be bringing more youngsters from our development".
