Referee Patrick Kyerenmanteng and his assistants were assaulted at the Robert Mensah Stadium in Cape Coast for disallowing a late Dwarfs goal that would have earned them a share of the spoils in their League game against Aduana Stars in the most publicised incident.
Dwarfs could face heavy sanctions for the incident but Abbey says incidents of violence at League centres are getting out of hand and is warning lives could be lost as a result.
"If you people don't take it up, somebody will die there", he said of the Cape Coast ground.
"I have been to many League centres and what is happening is terrible. What is going on now is that if you go to my home and you attack me, I will retaliate. The solution is to ensure military presence at the stadiums to help the police keep order."
