Kaizer Chiefs striker Lehlohonolo Majoro has been fined R30 000 for his goal celebration in the match against Moroka Swallows last month.
Majoro scored in the 3-0 win and celebrated by lifting his shirt to display a ‘I do have balz’ message on his shirt.
R10 000 of the fine has to be paid with seven days, with the remainder suspended for the rest of the current season and the forthcoming season.
Chiefs also pleaded guilty and were cautioned, and the Disciplinary Committee ruled that a written warning must be posted on the club's and PSL websites within 14 days. Majoro will pay pro rata costs of the hearing.
Also at the meeting, Orlando Pirates’ charges of spectator misbehavior during their match against Black Leopards last month were postponed until March 19.
And First Division club Blackburn Rovers were fined R70 000 – wholly suspended for 12 months – for spectator misbehavior, and they will also have to conduct spectator education at two of their upcoming matches. They were required to pay pro rata costs of the hearing.
