The unknown side from Mandalay in Cape Town, travel to Soccer City to meet the Soweto giants on Saturday.
Coached by the brother of Santos coach, Duncan Crowie, Desmond Crowie’s side is looking pumped up and ready to follow the likes of minnows Baroka FC in last year’s Nedbank Cup.
Baroka are known for their famous 2-1 win over Kaizer Chiefs in last season’s Nedbank Cup quarterfinal fixtures.
But the Cape side say they are determined to create a legacy of their own according to current leftback and a product of the Naturena’s side development system, Jabulani Mazibuko.
“We need no motivation for this game, playing Chiefs is a motivation factor on its own,” he told kickoff.com.
“Our dream is to go forward and proceed into the last 16 and the only way we are going to do that is by beating Chiefs, which won’t be easy.”
Although the club says that their mission is to win their current Vodacom league and gain promotion to the National First Division, they say they are prepared to die on the pitch at the Soccer City.
“It’s an honour to play against Chiefs for most of us, I for one am a product of the Chiefs development and it is games like these that motivate us to show them that they made a mistake in letting me go.
“I trust my teammates and I’m confident that with the kind of team spirit shown today (at training), we can go far in the competition.”
