Dede eyeing Inter scalp

Ghana midfielder Andre Dede Ayew is expecting a 'complicated game' when he lines up against Inter Milan in the knockout stages of the European Champions League.

Dede and his brother Jordan have been crucial this season for Marseille and will be on hand again as the French side look to gain the early advantage in the battle for places in the quarter-final stage of the competition with the first leg at the Draft Velladrome.

“Inter are a very big team. As they are not doing well in the league, they will rely heavily on the Champions League.

“Us, we must remain dynamic and have a lot of determination. It will be a very complicated game.”

Dede already has three goals in this year's competition.

I CHEATED DURING MY CAREER----ANTHONY YEBOAH

Famous Ghana striker of the 1990s, Anthony Yeboah, has admitted to falsifying his age in order to play for the Black Stars.

The former Leeds United and Eintracht Frankfurt ace cleared uncertainty surrounding his true age following a change of his date of birth from 1964 to 1966.

The issue of age cheating has dogged African football for decades and Yeboah's high profile revelation is almost certain to fan the embers of the debate.

Speaking to Kicker magazine, the ex-Ghana international noted: "Of course this is a fishy subject."

He added: "When I first came to Germany, I owned a passport with a birth year of 1964.

"The truth is that I would not have been able to play senior football in Ghana aged 17, so my birth year was changed to 1964.

"Afterwards, when I was in the German Bundesliga, I was to have my right birth date in my passport. I was born in 1966."

"And Ghanaian top player Andre Ayew has also vowed to sort out Zambia when the two teams meet in the World cup qualifiers in June this year. This is after his team broke the hearts of the many Ghanaian fans who had believed this was the year for the black stars after they impressed at World Cup 2010.

“We were very hurt. We were carrying the hopes of an entire nation and accepted the challenge to deliver. Of course, we trusted ourselves that we had the qualities to do the job and indeed, we have a great team but it just didn’t happen”, stated the BBC African footballer of the year Andre Ayew.

“I understand the feelings of the many fans who back the team in various ways. We feel for them and also feel the pain too. We wanted to win it badly”.

But Ayew added that Ghana will be able to avenge their defeat when they meet Zambia later this year.

“ It’s good that we will again be meeting with Zambia. Their fans should use this time to celebrate their victory because when we meet, they won’t celebrate, we will sort out Zambia,” said Ayew.

Despite his confidence, his coach bemoaned the belief in black magic by his team. Goran Stevanovic, revealed the destructive mentality of some of his players who feel the use of black magic is the answer to football success, according to documents obtained by SuperSport.com.

The Serbian made this known in his hugely anticipated technical report of what happened at the recently ended African Cup in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

“We all need to help in changing some players’ mentality about using black power to destroy themselves and also make sure we install discipline and respect for each other,” said the coach in the report.

Zambia, the current African champions made easy work of some of the book makers favorites when they burrowed through some star studded teams on their way to lifting the AFCON trophy."

You are doing it again; you little rat, you never learn, do you? Keep underestimating us. We love it. You and drogba should admit that you are losers, so stop running your mouths. You should have learnt a lesson by now but you seem to be thick-skulled knuckle heads. Well you should know that we don't care where you play your club football, we dont care how much hype you carry on their heads and we don't care how much money they make in the business, when it comes to national team football, Zambia will teach u a lessons. As for Ayew, he should have consulted his father before running his mouth; if he is expecting a bouquet of roses in the qualifiers he shud be dreaming. Zanbian players are mentally strong now, they believe that they are just as good as any one else on the african continent. We will teach you another lesson, you wait….Morons.
