Golden Arrows Joseph Musonda speaks out after Afcon Final injury

Golden Arrows' Joseph Musonda is hoping to bounce back soon, after injuring his ankle during the Africa Cup of Nations Final.

The defender wept uncontrollably as he wobbled off the pitch against Ivory Coast, in his 100th appearance for Zamiba. He has been ruled out of action for six weeks.

Speaking in an interview with KickOff.com after returning from Zambia at the weekend, Musonda says he is happy with Chipolopolo's success, but disappointed to return to work with a long-term injury.

"I feel bad with the injury, especially as it came while my club is not doing well. I don't know what is happening [at Arrows], but maybe it's a matter of bad luck. The team is playing well but we are failing to get the results.

"I may have been ruled out of action for the next six weeks but I believe I will come back sooner than expected," Musonda insists.

Meanwhile, Arrows will miss the services of Clifford Ngobeni and Siyanda Zwane when they take on Black Leopards at the weekend, owing to suspension.

The duo have joined Katlego Mashego on the sidelines, after the latter received a red card against SuperSport United in KwaZulu-Natal on Saturday.

it was unfortunate, but the way soccer players are always falling down, you just never know why the injury is serious or he is just faking it. Soccer has become a boring stop start sport. I assume they save energy like the new BMW.

looking at this pic, i thought it Drobba who injured the guy or He racially abused the guy for getting injured. bottom line is the pic and the story don't mach. Maybe Musonda in Zambia's Jersey appearing alone would have been better.

You, Mr. Bold is total idiot. Drogba was just showing classy and sportsmanship, but fools like you will always find ways to portray certain individuals bad. As Zambian, I was certainly proud of Didier's gesture. Say whatever you want, the man just showed classy no matter what was at stake. He Showed that win or loose, we are all people that should console one another.
