Cooreman replaces Paul Aigbogun, who has taken a sabbatical and returned to England for family reasons.
"The management of Warri Wolves have secured the services of Maurice Cooreman to stand in for Paul Aigbogun and lead the club in the remaining part of the season," Timi Ebikagboro, Media Manager o Warri Wolves said.
Cooreman was rumored to be heading off to join Kano Pillars following his unhappiness at unpaid wages at Kaduna.
But the widely-travelled Belgian would have surprised league watchers somewhat with this move.
He will start work on Tuesday, and is expected to guide Wolves through the league campaign and their quest for a continental trophy in the CAF Confederation Cup.
