Weekend round-up: Sundowns stay top despite a disappointing draw with Cosmos, but SuperSport and Chiefs win to keep up the pressure.

Check out the Premiership table HERE

AmaZulu suffered their second defeat of 2012, losing 2-1 to Free State Stars, who keep the pressure on the top of the table in sixth place.

Usuthu couldn't find their rhythm in the first half, and Edward Manqele found the bottom left corner of the net, rounding off a good passing move to give Stars the lead early on.

Stanton Lewis came on in the second half, and AmaZulu started stringing some passes together. Lewis got the equaliser when his attempted cross ended up chipping Ayanda Mtshali.

But Manqele got his brace and the winner for Ea Lla Koto late on, tucking the ball home after a cross from Saname Wome.

SuperSport United moved back into second place on the log with a 2-1 win over Golden Arrows.

Morgan Gould and Ashley Hartog found the back of the net for Matsatsantsa, while Katlego Mashego got the only goal for the home side.

Both sides ended the match with 10 men, after Sameegh Doutie and Mashego collected second yellows in the final 10 minutes.

The results leaves Arrows fourth from bottom, after four losses in a row.

Kaizer Chiefs finally found their scoring boots as they routed Moroka Swallows 3-0. Amakhosi were inspired by a brace from Mandla Masango, while Lehlohonolo Majoro converted a Bernard Parker cross-come-shot.

The result leaves Swallows in fifth place, while Chiefs remain in third, tied on points with SuperSport.

Tyren Arendse, Erwin Isaacs and Gert Schalkwyk propelled Santos to a their first win in eight League matches; a 3-1 victory over Bidvest Wits.

The Cape side had to win to ensure they moved off the bottom of the log, but were put under some early pressure by Ryan Chapman, who had three good chances in the first half-hour.

Masibusane Zongo got his first Wits goal, hitting home from long range into an empty net.

On Sunday, Mamelodi Sundowns were held to a 0-0 draw at home by Jomo Cosmos, although with the number of chances they created they should have taken all three points.

Despite the disappointing result, the Brazilians still enjoy a three-point lead at the top of the table, while Ezenkosi remain second from bottom.

Meanwhile, two goals in the last 12 minutes handed Ajax Cape Town a 2-0 win away to Maritzburg United. It's their fifth successive win and pushes them up to fourth place.

Khama Billiat, who almost produced a brilliant solo goal out of nowhere in the second half, flicked the ball on to new signing George Akpabio, and the Nigerian coolly finished from close range for his first goal.

United searched for the equaliser late on, and Billiat took advantage of their lack of numbers in defence to put the result beyond doubt.

Platinum Stars vs Orlando Pirates and Black Leopards vs Bloemfontein Celtic will take place on Wednesday, to accommodate Leopards and Pirates' CAF matches this weekend.
