Zenga slams 'nobody' journalist

Former Italy international and Al Nasr coach Walter Zenga has launched a stunning tirade on local UAE press after the 1-1 draw with Al Wahda in the Pro-League.

The result was a blow to the in-form Al Nasr's title hopes and the former Italy goalkeeper was not in a jovial mood at the post-match press conference.

When asked by one journalist whether his ‘defensive’ tactics were to blame for the defeat, he angrily responded: “I will not answer this stupid question. I enjoy my time in football. You are nothing. You are nobody.”

The former Inter player and Catania and Palermo coach then slammed the local press for lacking respect.

“I only wish to have respect for me, my club and my fans. Only this,” he said. “One year ago we were eighth in the table, now Nasr are in the first two positions for the first time since 1999. People must remember this.”
