Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune will not go on trial at Crystal Palace

Itumeleng Khune's trip to English Championship side Crystal Palace appears to have gone up in smoke, Bobby Motaung reveals to KickOff.com.

Khune was reported to have been invited to visit Palace along with Simphiwe Tshabalala, but because of injury the Bafana Bafana goalkeeper was to go "in the second week of February", according to his manager Jazzman Mahlakgane.

However, Amakhosi's football manager Motaung tells KickOff.com that Khune will not in fact be going.

"We never got an invite from Crystal Palace," Motaung says. "Khune has already mentioned that his focus is now playing for Kaizer Chiefs, as was evident with his statement in our website."

Khune and his teammate Tshabalala, who impressed Crystal Palace during his stay, recently signed three-year contracts with Chiefs.

@Undisputed Champ Mgugudi, I think you are convinced that I am a Chiefs fan and you are wrong. My only problem with all of you is just attacking people's opinions and honest people like the Amidu boy.

Coming back to your question, it's always difficult for us supporters to get the truth from the administrators at times. We all know they try as much as they can to withhold information from us. But one thing for sure I never trusted the way Jazzman does business with all these boys.

You can agree with me with the way he handled the Teko Modise issue. If I remember correctly Teko was suppose to appear for DC and when they got to the boardroom he was with the Sundowns people to negotiate since they were interested. Again Punch Masenamela, no doubt Punch was one of Chiefs' best players last season but Jazzman went straight to Chiefs to say Sundowns are interested. Since Chiefs got Punch for nothing it made business sense for them to sell as we know you can't keep a player who you know he was advised something by his agent.

There's a lot of incident concerning the agents especially Jazzman, if he was more interested on these players careers not just money he'd be fighting tooth and nail to get them contracts outside our border gates. But what he does is moving them from Chiefs or Pirates to Sundowns, I for one don't see growth in that.

The challange with KC fans is that when we play, we play but they tend to matter to heart. And when we intellectually & critically engage issue they are left behind because they have never been thinkers that independantly look at matters that affect KC hence they get emotional in their responses & shoot the massanger instead of the Motoung Family that is taking them for granted.

At Pirates, we continously looks at the entire performance of the team, not in terms of plastic cups that we collect hence the we fired the likes of Krol, Gordon & other. This is because the base of Pirates fans has never been made of the likes of Bamjee or a number Iwisa Spectacular Cups won but was made of people who appreciate soccer as sport in its entirety. We looked at how all teams played & chose Pirates not because they won "everything" due to dubious decisions but of how they made the ball talk on the field. The only fans that have our resemblence are Sundowns' who take no shh1t & will engage performance of Sundowns irrespective of winning.

The likes of Jealousy et al will get satisfied by winning Macufe Cup, then

1. Bobby will be the best manager
2. VV the best coach
3. Kc the most succesful team on the continent
4. KC the best team with the best players, etc.

I used the word fired because:

1. Krol had legitimate expectation that his contract will be renewed. Millions of Pirates fans had the same.

2. Gordon, resigned because of interference? You must be kidding, reporting to your principals is not interference.

As a soccer follower you must by now be well-versed that a clever coach resigns even when fired because they don't want to burn their bridges. The like of Mushin were recycled by KC because they never burnt those bridges & again left under dubious reasons, he could be your next coach, come new season. Thidiela of Leopards is well known for giving promotion to a coach into a tectnical director when firing you.

Stop being obssesed with other claiming to be smart when they never said so themselves. To me it boils down to your lack of confidence when you are articulating your point thus the likes of you use phrases like you think you are this or that.

The current circus about Khune's & Ntawana trials, Tau, committe of the commitee of the commitee of captains, etc. is one of many unprofessional things that happen at the KC.

Who would forget the lies about the stadium or the benefit match for Mooki or signing of Nyawana before he trully signed or the family laundry in our news papers, etc.

Firstly I wud like to encourage pirates to focus on their dream to win the CAF competition it seems like they are already celebrating like Ghana did only one team from Mzanzi qualifies and I dont see them winning the leaque again this season.
