Zimbabwe national team coach Norman Mapeza has officially been suspended and Rahman Gumbo has been appointed interim coach.
Rahman Gumbo has won League titles in Botswana (with Township Rollers), Malawi (with MTL Wanderers) & Zimbabwe (Highlanders). He led Platinum FC to second position last year in Zimbabwe, losing on goal difference to Dynamos.
He will be assisted by David Mandigora (who has just returned from a two-year stint at Costa do Sol in Mozambique, and also lead Dynamos to a CAF Champions League semi-final in 2008.
The other assistant is former Coventry City and Mamelodi Sundowns man Peter Ndlovu, who has also been appointed Zimbabwe Under-23 coach.
Nyika Chifamba has been appointed team manager.
