Either way a South African will celebrate a rare feat tonight with either Lierse or Lokeren set to win their place in the Belgian Cup final.

The pair meet in the second leg of their Belgian Cup semi-final, with Lokeren leading 1-0 from the home leg last week.

Lierse have the trio of Daylon Claasen, Lance Davids and Siboniso Gaxa in their ranks, while Lokeren are relying more and more on the talent of Ayanda Patosi in midfield, and also have youngster Ebrahim Seedat in their reserves.

The Lierse trio have all been getting good game-time recently and could all start, with Gaxa returning from a weekend suspension.

It is touch-and-go for Patosi, though he did start in the 3-1 League win over Mons on Saturday.

And national Under-23 goalkeeper Darren Keet will line-up for Kortrijk tomorrow as they seek to finish the job over Mons in the other semi-final, leading 2-1 from the away leg last week.

Keet has played in all the cup matches for his side this season and has performed superbly well. Kortrijk will be heavy favourites to advance, setting Keet up for a special day against one or more of his compatriots.

Lierse have won the Belgian Cup on two previous occasions, in 1968/69 and 1998/99, while the best that Lokeren have managed is a runners-up place in the 1980/81 season. Kortrijk have never made the final before in their 111-year history.

Bafana Bafana right-back Anele Ngcongca tasted success for his Genk side in the 2009 Belgian Cup final as they beat Mechelen 2-0.

Best of luck to our brothers in Belgium. They are doing Mzansi proud, unlike these mummys boys who are too afraid to leave home and compete against the best in the world.

Good to have this players playing rather than persistent strategy of going to bigger leagues.

Keep it up boys.
