Bloemfontein Celtic will play their remaining home games this season at the Botshabelo Stadium.

With fortress Seisa Ramabodu Stadium needing some much-needed upgrades, the decision has been taken to relocate home games Botshabelo, with the Free State Stadium named as an alternative venue.

“We have no choice but to move venues, but we are excited at the prospect of taking our games to Botshabelo and we feel that it will be a very tough task for teams to come there and get anything,” CEO Khumbulani Konco tells the club’s official website.

“We still have Free State Stadium registered as an alternative venue, but we believe that we will build a legacy in Botshabelo and if we can continue our great home form there, we can finish high up on the log.”

Celtic’s first game at Botshabelo Stadium will be on February 15 against Golden Arrows.

Well,I always thought Botshabelo stadium is not a bad venue & most games played there got a good support, even when it was Free State Stars.

Its also about 50 km from Bloemfontein, which is not far at all.
