Bucs gear up for Champs League, Boa Morte scores

Posted: 2012-02-05 16:01

Orlando Pirates' upcoming opponents in the CAF Champions League, Recreativo do Libolo, were beaten by Witbank Spurs, while Luis Boa Morte scored his first goal for Bucs in a friendly.

Do Libolo got a taste of South African football yesterday against the First Division side in a friendly at the University of Pretoria sports grounds. Spurs won the match 2-0.

The Angolan side are already in the country to acclimatise themselves ahead of their meeting with Pirates in the Champions League, scheduled for Port Elizabeth on February 19.

They are currently camping in Pretoria and using the High Performance Centre training facilities.

Despite their win, Spurs manager Thabo Moroape warned Bucs not to underestimate the Angolans.

"Even though they were beaten by a First Division team, they are not a bad side," Moroape says. "They are big and like to take shots at goal.

"You know, foreign teams teams, when they play South Africans, always want to live up to expectations, and Pirates should not undermine them."

Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates played into a 1-1 draw against Inter Luanda of Angola in a friendly in Johannesburg on Saturday.

Pirates used the match to prepare themselves for the Champions League.

Former Portuguese international Luis Boa Morte scored the equalising goal for Bucs from the penalty spot.

This Borte's b@lls will be tested on the 17th March 2012 in the big one, the Soweto Derby. He will leave small sh!t (isthlama) in his under-pant...ek se!

If Zwane owes papgeld where does it fit in your MorCowte scoring a penalty as his first goal? Nightshift makes you to write crap on KO neh? About payments no players has ever complained of how he's numerated at Chiefs but at Orla Pierats....Does R9K ring a bell?

You Pierats idiots always brings Chiefs name up in your comments and yet you complain when we also glorify you by also commenting on your team's articles like i'm doing now.

Boys, lets go to Africa and show them who we are and what we are made of.

Phela this Angolan team did not come to here to play friendly, instead their main aim was to market their players to a biggest team on the land, while on the other hand our stars were jst on honey moon celebrating the anniversary, so thats why it looks like they were giving us some tough times.

Happy 75th year anniversary, may God continue 2 bless you for another 75 year and beyond.......

Once a Pirate always a Pirate!

I see you're trying to be a smart pants. I've seen dunder heads come and leave this site and you wont be the first fool from Piecity to leave.

At Chiefs every players is catered for. And the fans also we cater for ourselves. Being a Security guard does pay you good to even afford to be access internet on your cellphone neh?

Like your crazy stupids called fans of your team i don't have time to entertain idiots.

I watched the match on Saturday. Pirates have nothing to worry about. The Angolan team coach is inexperience and his team look like a Vodacom team.

Do you call scoring a penalty, scoring? Please dig some news, we have less than two weeks to PSL kickoff and you tell us about a 34 year old scoring a penalty in a friendly that ended in a draw? Give us story Ermest Mididerdorp, before "i report you to the authorities"!!!

Champ "Superbrand": 2012-02-06 09:13

Yo yo yo!!!! the Family business hobos are angry!!! Maar shame the Hobos, you dont have to read the champs articles!! The Jornos must update us about the preparation for the big one. We are talking Champions league here not Macufe, do you get that?

brazilitti : 2012-02-06 09:16

Mudala lobhova

Champ "Superbrand": 2012-02-06 09:17

Ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!! Now the Inkatha Freedom Chiefs dont consider converting a penalty as scoring a goal. Penalties can be missed too, ask your cow Parker who missed and that Lebese poor boy who missed a penalty that landed the poor wistleman into trouble and ended up being stripped of his armband.

Baroka fc : 2012-02-06 10:06

That was just a match practise,I don't know what cause so much heartache to the Zebras.

mokonehimself: 2012-02-06 11:18
