Black Leopards are geared up for a busy time ahead playing in League and CAF Confederation Cup matches later this month.
The prospect of playing in the Champions League does not worry coach Vladislav Heric.
"Yes the team is focused and ready. We are approaching the competition like any other game. The League has slotted these fixtures into our schedule nicely,” he tells the club website.
Since returning from the December break the team has been training hard and is well prepared for the journey into Africa.
"Training has been at a high intensity to get the players fitness and conditioning back after the December break to get ready for the busy schedule ahead.
"We've also been playing a lot of practice matches to work out our best combinations," says Heric.
The clubs technical team has always maintained that they will take part in this competition and will try to get as far as they can.
"Our goals are the same in every competition, to win!! We've registered a squad of 24 players for the knockout stages and we want to go all the way.”
Black Leopards’ first CAF game is at home against Motor Action from Zimbabwe on February 18.
