Ex-Zifa CEO arrested over match fixing

Former Zifa CEO Henrietta Rushwaya has been arrested by police investigating match fixing in football.
Rushwaya was arrested today in Harare, Zimbabwe.

According to ZBC, Rushwaya was picked up by officers from the Anti-Corruption Commission in Zimbabwe on allegations of corruption, bribery and match fixing.
She was singled out as the chief architect of Asiagate, the biggest crisis ever to hit Zimbabwe football, in which national team players and coaches were allegedly paid to lose matches in Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia between 2007 and 2009 by predetermined scores, earning millions in betting.
